Several half-acre or less ponds
without electricity and free air for windmills.
Saving with Solar
Electricity is not available
everywhere, but a Keeton Solaer Aeration
System can be installed anywhere. It's a great solution when power is
not available or too expensive in your area. In some locations, running
electric wiring is not a possibility. In other areas, the costs greatly
outweigh the cost of a solar aeration system.
Here at the "Hill
Pond," even though electric power goes directly over
the small pond, getting electricity to the pond's edge might be less
practical than installing a solar powered unit. The power pole is out in
the field about 170' from the closest vantage point at the pond. It
would require it's own meter and terminal box and a monthly billing
statement. Solar would have now electric cost.
