    I drew this up with a Vertex system just to be different.  Here again I don't know the oxygen demand for recycle water (if there is any).  All it really needs for normal runoff water would be an AIR 1 if the pond had a bowl bottom.  With a flat bottom, it would be better if it had more than one location.  Here I have split the difference and put four 9" membranes in two locations and used a dual-piston compressor.  I think the plan favors a sound economic approach to the pond at hand.
    If I were building the same pond over again, I'd put a bowl-like bottom that was deepest in the middle so I could use one diffuser in the middle and let Gravity do the rest of the work in circulating the dissolved oxygenated water evenly on the bottom.
